Yemeni Leadership Council President Urges Arab States to Back Government’s Efforts to Revive Economy

The President of the Presidential Leadership Council of the Republic of Yemen, Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, has urged collective Arab action to support the government's efforts to revive the economy.

Al-Alimi made the remarks in a speech at the 32nd Regular Session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the Summit Level held in Jeddah on Friday.

In his speech, Al-Alimi extended thanks and appreciation for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for their generous hosting of this summit.

Al-Alimi praised the remarkable efforts made by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince to ensure the unity of the Arab World and defend its interests and aspirations for development, stability, and peace.

Meanwhile, the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council's President called for collective action by the Arab states and the countries of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen to support the government's efforts to revive the economy.

Al-Alimi affirmed the need for collective Arab action to support the Yemeni government's efforts to improve essential services and advanced life-saving humanitarian interventions.

The Yemeni President praised the efforts recently made by both the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States, which ended with the signing of the declaration of principles by the brothers in Sudan to secure humanitarian efforts and protect civilians.

He expressed his sincere wishes for the success of this summit under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and HRH the Crown Prince.

He also affirmed his confidence that the summit would represent an additional leap in joint Arab action.
