Riyadh: The Royal Institute of Traditional Arts (Wrth) transformed its facilities into creative hubs for more than 300 hours over 50 days, where students and artisans collaborated to design tools used in the 1448 AH Kaaba washing ceremony. The project was implemented in partnership with the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, and included the production of a set of tools used in the ritual washing of the Holy Kaaba, integrating several traditional Saudi arts.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the project prominently featured metalwork, woodworking, and hand embroidery, resulting in works that reflect exceptional craftsmanship and the aesthetic richness of Saudi artisanal heritage. It presented a practical model that integrates education with hands-on experience, enabling participants to take part in one of the most significant Islamic occasions. The initiative provided an opportunity for participants to apply their skills in a professional setting under the supervision of leading experts in traditional arts.

Wrth continues to deliver its educational programs and specialized courses through state-of-the-art workshops. These programs enable trainees to gain hands-on experience in applied projects that enhance their skills and strengthen the presence of traditional arts in contemporary life.
