World Water Council Commends Saudi Arabia’s Influence on Global Water Initiatives

Jeddah: World Water Council President Loc Fauchon emphasized the council's dedication to ensuring the success of the 11th World Water Forum through international partnerships, sustainable solutions, and innovation. He highlighted food, health, environment, and renewable energy as priority areas and suggested that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia could become the world's water capital.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Fauchon was addressing the 2nd Stakeholders' Consultation Meeting of the 11th World Water Forum during the inaugural Saudi Water Week in Jeddah. He lauded Saudi Arabia's pivotal role in advancing the water sector, noting that the event acts as a catalyst for attracting proposals from water-sector experts and institutions at local, regional, and international levels.

Fauchon reiterated the council's primary objective of assisting the world's most impoverished regions in accessing clean water. He also urged that safe drinking water should be prioritized on international political and development agendas.
