the Ministry of Interior announced today, Wednesday, the arrest of a drug dealer in his possession 5 kilograms of crystal, in a "qualitative operation" in Maysan Governorate, southern Iraq.

The Ministry said in a statement, "A force from the Karkh drug control, with a qualitative operation, arrested a drug dealer red-handed in his possession of 5 kilograms of narcotic crystal in Maysan Governorate, southern Iraq."

The statement added that "the narcotic substances were seized according to a formal seizure report, and the accused was placed under arrest pending investigation according to a judicial decision to obtain his just punishment," noting that the operation "was carried out under the personal and direct supervision of the Minister of Interior Abdul Amir Al-Shammari."
