Izmir: An earthquake measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale struck Izmir in western Trkiye today.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) stated that the epicenter of the earthquake was located in the Izmir Gulf of the Aegean Sea, at a depth of 7.28 kilometers.

No casualties or material damage have been reported so far.
