Weather Conditions Set to Bring Heavy Rain and Strong Winds Across Several Regions

Riyadh: The National Center for Meteorology has issued a weather forecast predicting that several regions, including Eastern, Northern Borders, Qassim, Hail, Tabuk, Madinah, Riyadh, Makkah, Al-Baha, Aseer, and Jazan, may experience moderate to heavy rain on Sunday. These conditions are expected to lead to flash floods and be accompanied by hail.

According to Saudi Press Agency, gusty winds are likely to stir up dust, resulting in near-zero horizontal visibility in parts of the aforementioned regions, as well as in Al-Jouf and Najran. This could cause significant disruptions and pose challenges for residents and travelers in these areas.

The Red Sea is expected to experience varying wind patterns. In the northern and central parts, winds will be westerly to northwesterly with speeds ranging from 15 to 31 km/h. In the southern part, winds will shift to southeasterly to southerly at speeds of 21 to 42 km/h. Wave heights in the Red Sea are predicted to range from half a meter to two meters, with relatively calm sea conditions.

In the Arabian Gulf, winds are forecasted to be southeasterly to southwesterly at speeds of 13 to 26 km/h. The sea is expected to remain calm, with waves ranging from half a meter to one meter.
