Bishkek: The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) has successfully distributed 92,200 iftar meals across Central Asia. The initiative included 91,800 meals provided at mosques and Islamic centers in Kyrgyzstan, alongside 400 meals specifically designated for students at various educational institutions and student accommodations. Additionally, 1,350 food baskets were distributed to support underprivileged families in the region.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Dr. Mohammed Madi, Director of the WAMY office in Kyrgyzstan, highlighted the comprehensive scope of the distribution efforts. The initiative extended its reach beyond Kyrgyzstan, benefiting three mosques in Mongolia and six mosques in Kazakhstan. A significant portion of the meals was distributed within Kyrgyzstan, focusing on mosque attendees, WAMY-established centers, and students at universities, schools, and student residences.

Dr. Madi emphasized that the food baskets were specifically delivered to the most vulnerable groups, including orphans and underprivileged families in Kyrgyzstan. The beneficiaries expressed their appreciation for the support provided by the Kingdom’s government and people during the month of Ramadan.
