Riyadh: The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) praised the Kingdom's participation in the Damascus International Book Fair 2026. The Saudi pavilion served as a cultural beacon, reflecting the depth of the Kingdom's knowledge and cultural movement.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the assembly said this distinguished cultural presence embodies the great attention the Kingdom's leadership gives to spreading culture and supporting knowledge as two fundamental pillars of Saudi Vision 2030 to build a vibrant society and enhance civilizational communication with Arab and Muslim peoples.

WAMY added that the Kingdom's participation in such international events is not limited to showcasing diverse publications, but also carries a cultural message, strengthens bonds of brotherhood, and conveys the bright image of the renewed Saudi cultural scene, which combines the authenticity of heritage with modern thought.

The assembly noted that balanced Saudi books contribute to promoting the values of moderation, enhancing intellectual awareness, and protecting youth from deviant or extremist ideas. The Saudi participation also offers Syrian youth the opportunity to explore the latest scientific and literary publications, enhancing their passion for reading and research and supporting their knowledge aspirations.

WAMY also stressed that the Kingdom's support for books and culture represents a true investment in people, especially the promising generations that nations rely on to build a future based on science and knowledge.
