Riyadh: The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) praised the “Makkah Route” initiative for the year 1446 AH, launched by the Ministry of Interior in collaboration with several relevant authorities. The initiative is designed to streamline the pilgrimage journey, beginning with pilgrims’ departure from their home countries, continuing through their arrival in the Kingdom and performance of the Hajj rituals, and concluding with their return to their homelands in comfort and ease.
According to Saudi Press Agency, WAMY highlighted that the initiative, implemented at 11 international airports across seven countries, reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to enhancing services for pilgrims by offering comprehensive and high-quality support. The services include the facilitation of visa issuance, completion of passport procedures, verification of health requirements, and the sorting of luggage and personal belongings, ensuring the comfort, safety, and convenience of pilgrims throughout their spiritual journey.
WAMY added that the initiative serves as a pioneering global model for facilitating the performance of Hajj, showcasing Saudi Arabia’s deep-rooted expertise in managing pilgrim affairs and its successful international cooperation to deliver these services at the highest standards.
