Vice Foreign Minister Receives EU Special Representative for Horn of Africa

Riyadh: Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed Elkhereiji received European Union (EU) Special Representative for the Horn of Africa Annette Weber at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters in Riyadh today. During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the Kingdom and the European Union regarding African affairs, in addition to exchanging views on several regional and international issues.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussions focused on strengthening bilateral ties and exploring collaborative opportunities in addressing challenges in the Horn of Africa. Both parties emphasized the importance of a coordinated approach in promoting stability and development in the region.

The meeting highlighted the mutual interests of the Kingdom and the EU in fostering peace and security across African nations. The dialogue also touched upon the shared commitment to addressing humanitarian concerns and supporting sustainable development initiatives in the region.

In their concluding remarks, Vice Minister Elkhereiji and Special Representative Weber expressed optimism about future collaborations and reiterated their dedication to working together on matters of mutual interest.
