Vice Foreign Minister Participates in Key Arab League Council Session in Cairo

Riyadh: On behalf of Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed Elkhereiji on Monday participated in the 166th ordinary session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level, held at the Arab League General Secretariat headquarters in Cairo.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting reviewed the progress of joint Arab action and explored ways to enhance its mechanisms to fulfill the aspirations of member states and their peoples. The session also emphasized the importance of intensifying Arab coordination to address Israeli violations in the occupied Palestinian territories and confront blatant Iranian attacks on several Arab countries, which have targeted civilians and critical infrastructure.

Additionally, the meeting covered developments on both the Arab and international fronts, including the security and safety of international waterways and ensuring freedom of maritime navigation. Discussions highlighted the necessity for the Strait of Hormuz to return to its normal status and the collective efforts required to enhance security and stability for the region and its inhabitants.
