Northern borders: A striking celestial event was observed in the skies of Northern Borders Region yesterday evening as Venus and Jupiter appeared in conjunction, creating a remarkable sight visible to the naked eye shortly after sunset.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Astronomy and Space Club member Adnan Khalifa explained that the two planets appeared close together above the western horizon, attracting the attention of astronomy enthusiasts and photographers. From the observer's perspective on Earth, the planets appeared almost as a single bright object due to their apparent proximity.

He noted that a conjunction occurs when two celestial bodies appear close together in the sky from the observer's viewpoint, despite the vast distances separating them in space. Clear skies and stable weather conditions contributed to the visibility of the event and helped highlight its details.
