New York:The UNESCO Regional Center for Quality and Excellence in Education (RCQE) took part in a series of international events and dialogues in New York, coinciding with the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly. These events brought together representatives from the United Nations, international organizations, education and development institutions, youth networks, and the private sector.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the engagement allowed RCQE to participate in global discussions focusing on the future of education, quality learning, youth skills development, and digital transformation. Key topics included artificial intelligence, green education, and sustainability, addressing how education and skills systems are adapting to rapid technological, economic, and social changes.
RCQE utilized this opportunity to connect with various international institutions and networks, sharing perspectives and experiences, highlighting its efforts to promote quality and innovation in education, and seeking future collaboration and partnerships.
The center also highlighted the Global Youth Network for Quality and Excellence, an initiative aimed at enhancing youth engagement by connecting young people with researchers and institutions in the field of education. This initiative was featured in the United Nations Youth Office newsletter, reaching over 50,000 young people globally.
Through its participation, RCQE emphasized the significance of integrating education quality and youth empowerment into global conversations about skills, employment, and sustainable development. The center's involvement is part of its ongoing efforts to build international cooperation and strengthen partnerships to advance quality education in the Arab region and beyond.
