UN Condemns Israeli Suspension of Many Aid Agencies in Gaza

Riyadh: The United Nations strongly condemned Israel's decision to suspend the operations of many aid organizations in Gaza. United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Trk said the move is 'the latest in a pattern of unlawful restrictions on humanitarian access,' warning that it would further worsen the humanitarian situation in Gaza.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Trk called on the international community to take urgent action and exert pressure on Israel to allow humanitarian aid to enter Gaza without obstruction. He also stressed the need for Israel to respect its obligations under international law and to provide for the basic needs of Gaza residents, who are already facing unbearable conditions.
