Umm Al-Qura University Offers Guidance Sessions for Pilgrims in 50 Languages

Mecca: Umm Al-Qura University offered enrichment and guidance sessions in 50 international languages for pilgrims during this Hajj season as part of efforts to enhance their experience and help them perform rituals with ease and reassurance.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative is being carried out by the university's Institute of Research and Studies and Consulting Services in cooperation with the Institute of Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers. The program provides pilgrims with a range of informational and advisory guidance aimed at facilitating their journey across Makkah and the holy sites, alongside information on available services, transportation mechanisms, and health and organizational guidelines for the Hajj season.

The sessions are offered in several international languages, including English, French, Hindi, and Urdu, reflecting the diversity of pilgrims arriving from around the world. The multilingual approach is intended to ensure awareness messages are delivered effectively while improving communication with pilgrims of different nationalities and raising awareness.

The program aligns with the university's efforts to harness scientific and intellectual capabilities in the service of pilgrims and help deliver an enriching Hajj experience reflecting Saudi Arabia's commitment to caring for them.
