Makkah: Under the patronage of Governor of Makkah Region and Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Umm Al-Qura University inaugurated the Career and Innovation Forum 2026. The event marks a significant step towards promoting excellence and leadership in the tourism sector.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the inauguration was attended by Umm Al-Qura University President Dr. Moaddi bin Mohammed Al-Madhhab and Deputy Minister of Tourism for Human Capital Development Eng. Razan Al Aayed, as well as officials, experts, academics, and tourism sector stakeholders. The forum aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to bridge the gap between higher education outputs and the needs of the tourism labor market.
The forum comprises an academic and professional program that includes four enrichment sessions featuring specialists, experts, and decision-makers. Additionally, 21 specialized workshops are designed to develop the professional and practical skills of students, graduates, and individuals interested in the tourism sector. The participation of over 60 employers is expected to enhance participants' readiness for the labor market and strengthen their competitiveness.
