Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry announced the registration for the 28th edition of the Bahrain Holy Quran Grand Prize.
The ministry praised the royal patronage of the award and stressed the keenness of the government's support led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in serving Islam and spreading its sciences and values among society.
The ministry invited those wishing to participate in the award to register on the website www.islam.gov.bh before the end of October, as the preliminary qualifiers for participants are scheduled to begin during January 2024 and the final qualifiers during February 2024.
The prize includes seven group prizes - The Holy Quran memorization for students of Quranic centres, the Bayan Prize for school students, the Ajran Prize for people with mild intellectual disabilities, the Ghufran Prize for inmates of the Correction and Rehabilitation Department at the Ministry of Interior, the Radwan Prize for the public, and Salman Al Farsi Prize for non-Arabic speakers recitation.
The competition also included individual prizes - The Eldest Contestant prize, the Youngest Contestant prize, the Dawood’s Flute prize, the Best Quranic Center prize, the Family Quran prize, and the Best Local Quran Competition prize.
