Riyadh: The Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services and the SPA Academy for News Training signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in Riyadh yesterday aimed at developing human capital and localizing communications and media jobs in the transport and logistics sector, as part of joint efforts to prepare specialized national talent in support of the sector's objectives.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the MoU was signed by Deputy Minister for Human Capability Development at the Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services Dr. Abdullah Alabdulkarim, and SPA Academy CEO Tariq AlShaikh. The agreement includes qualifying and developing national talent in specialized media fields, as well as exchanging expertise and knowledge to enhance institutional media performance across the transport and logistics ecosystem.
Alabdulkarim said the MoU reflects the ministry's commitment to building strategic partnerships that contribute to developing national human capabilities and enhancing the readiness of specialists in communications and media related to the transport and logistics sector. He noted that the ministry seeks through this partnership to develop professional training pathways that keep pace with the rapid transformations in communications and media, improve the quality of institutional media content and practices, and support the localization of specialized jobs by attracting and empowering national talent to highlight the sector's achievements and initiatives and strengthen its public image.
He added that the agreement represents an important step toward unifying efforts and exchanging expertise and knowledge to build a more efficient and professional communications and media ecosystem that supports the objectives of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030.
AlShaikh said the MoU builds on the academy's efforts to develop human capital and localize media jobs in the transport and logistics sector by qualifying and training national talent to meet the sector's needs and professional requirements. He added that the agreement opens new avenues for cooperation in designing and implementing specialized training programs and developing the skills of personnel in media coverage, institutional communications, and content creation related to the transport and logistics sector, while supporting professional and employment pathways for qualified national talent. He noted that these efforts will help improve the quality of the sector's media content and advance localization goals in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
