Translation Commission Concludes Successful International Forum in Riyadh

Riyadh: The Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission concluded the International Translation Forum 2025 yesterday in Riyadh. The three-day event featured dialogue sessions and workshops, attracting numerous visitors interested in translation from the Kingdom and abroad.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the forum hosted over 70 local and international experts in 15 sessions and 17 workshops, addressing trends and challenges in translation and strategies for improvement.

During the event, sessions covered diverse topics, including professional accreditation in translation, crisis preparedness for translators, medical translation, localization and the knowledge economy, technological transformation in translation, human-machine translation, cultural transformations, and investment in language services.

The forum aligns with the commission’s efforts to position the Kingdom as a global hub for translation and cultural communication, aiming to develop the sector as a vital resource for the knowledge economy and enhance the Kingdom’s presence in the global translation industry.
