Thunderstorms and Gusty Winds Forecasted for Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, and Makkah

Jeddah: Thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds and hail are expected to hit parts of the highlands in Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, and Makkah regions on Thursday, while the weather is predicted to remain hot to very hot in parts of the Eastern and Riyadh regions.

According to Saudi Press Agency, gusty, dust-stirring winds are anticipated to affect not only the Eastern and Riyadh regions but also Madinah, Tabuk, Al-Jouf, and the Northern Borders regions. The wind patterns over the Red Sea will vary, with northwesterly to northerly winds in the northern and central parts at speeds of 15-30 km/h, and southeasterly to southwesterly winds in the southern part at speeds of 10-25 km/h. Sea conditions will be relatively calm with wave heights ranging from half a meter to one and a half meters.

In the Arabian Gulf, winds are expected to be northwesterly to westerly at speeds of 14-28 km/h. The sea will remain calm, with wave heights ranging from half a meter to one meter.
