Thunderstorms and Gusty Winds Expected in Several Saudi Regions

Riyadh: Thunderstorms accompanied by hail are anticipated over parts of the Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, and Makkah regions. Gusty, dust-stirring winds are expected to impact parts of those areas, as well as the Eastern, Riyadh, Northern Borders, Al-Jouf, Tabuk, and Madinah regions.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the weather over the Red Sea will feature northwesterly to northerly winds at speeds of 15-45 km/h in the northern and central parts, and northwesterly to westerly winds at speeds of 10-50 km/h in the southern part. Waves in the Red Sea are expected to vary from half a meter to over two meters, making the sea conditions range from calm to choppy.

In the Arabian Gulf, winds will be northwesterly to northerly at speeds of 15-40 km/h in the northern and central parts, and northwesterly to northeasterly at speeds of 10-25 km/h in the southern part. Waves are predicted to range from half a meter to one and a half meters, and the sea will be relatively calm.
