Thunderstorms and Gusty Winds Expected in Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, and Makkah

Riyadh: Thunderstorms accompanied by hail and gusty winds are forecasted for parts of the Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, and Makkah regions. Gusty, dust-stirring winds are anticipated to impact the eastern parts of these regions, leading to near-zero horizontal visibility on the coastal road leading to Jazan and the eastern parts of the Najran Region. The southern parts of the Eastern Region will continue to experience high temperatures.

According to Saudi Press Agency, winds over the Red Sea will vary from northwesterly to westerly at speeds of 12-35 km/h in the northern and central parts, and westerly to southwesterly at speeds of 15-50 km/h in the southern part. Waves are expected to range from half a meter to over two meters, with the sea conditions ranging from calm to choppy.

In the Arabian Gulf, the forecast indicates northwesterly to westerly winds at speeds of 15-35 km/h in the northern part, and northeasterly to easterly winds, shifting in the evening to northerly, at speeds of 10-25 km/h in the central and southern parts. Waves are predicted to range from half a meter to one and a half meters, making the sea relatively calm.
