Thunderstorms and Flash Floods Expected in Multiple Saudi Regions

Jeddah: Moderate to heavy thunderstorms, capable of causing flash floods and accompanied by hail, are forecasted to impact the regions of Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, and Makkah on Wednesday. Light to moderate rain showers are anticipated in the regions of Madinah, Qassim, Riyadh, Eastern, and Najran, with gusty winds likely to stir dust in these areas as well as in parts of Tabuk and Hail. According to Saudi Press Agency, the Red Sea will experience northwesterly to northerly winds at speeds of 20-55 km/h in its northern and central areas, while speeds in the southern part will range from 14-32 km/h. Waves are expected to vary from half a meter to over two meters, resulting in sea conditions that are calm to choppy. In the Arabian Gulf, winds will vary from northerly to northwesterly in the northern section at speeds of 15-30 km/h, and from southeasterly to northeasterly in the central and southern areas at speeds of 10-23 km/h. Wave heights are anticipated to be between half a meter and one and a half meters, w ith the sea remaining relatively calm.
