Thunderstorms and Flash Flood Warnings Issued for Several Regions of Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: Moderate to heavy thunderstorms are expected to impact various regions of Saudi Arabia, potentially leading to flash floods, as reported by the National Center for Meteorology. The forecast warns of hail and gusty winds accompanying the storms in the Jazan, Aseer, Riyadh, Eastern, and Northern Borders regions. Additionally, light to moderate rain is anticipated in Al-Jouf, Hail, Qassim, Makkah, Al-Baha, and Najran regions, with possible fog formation in parts of these areas.

According to Saudi Press Agency, wind patterns over the Red Sea will vary, with northwesterly to northerly winds prevailing in the northern and central parts, and southeasterly to northerly winds in the southern part, reaching speeds of 25-60 km/h. The sea conditions are expected to range from calm to choppy, with wave heights between one meter to over two and a half meters.

In the Arabian Gulf, northeasterly to northwesterly winds are predicted, with speeds of 15-60 km/h. The sea will experience wave heights from half a meter to over two and a half meters, maintaining calm to choppy conditions.
