Thunderstorms and Dust-Stirring Winds Expected in Saudi Regions

Riyadh: The National Center for Meteorology has issued a forecast predicting moderate to heavy thunderstorms, accompanied by gusty winds and hail, in parts of the Jazan and Aseer regions. Additionally, dust-stirring winds are expected to affect areas in the Northern Borders, Al-Jouf, Hail, Qassim, Riyadh, Tabuk, Madinah, and Makkah regions.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the weather conditions will also impact the Red Sea, where northwesterly to northerly winds are anticipated at speeds of 20-50 km/h. Wave heights in the Red Sea could range from one meter to over two meters, leading to a sea state that will vary from calm to choppy.

In the Arabian Gulf, the forecast predicts westerly to northwesterly winds with speeds of 15-28 km/h. Wave heights are expected to range from half a meter to one and a half meters, maintaining a calm sea state.
