Third Session of Arab Parliament’s Second Sitting Commences with Saudi Delegation’s Participation

Riyadh: The Arab Parliament today opened the third session of the second sitting of its fourth legislative term at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League, chaired by Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed Al-Yamahi. The session will address a range of political, legislative, economic, and social issues, alongside the approval of reports from standing committees, draft laws, and parliamentary proposals developed during preparatory meetings.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Saudi Arabia is actively participating in the session with a delegation of Shura Council members who also serve in the Arab Parliament. The delegation includes First Deputy Speaker of the Arab Parliament and Member of the Economic and Financial Affairs Committee Saad Al-Otaibi, Member of the Foreign Affairs, Political and National Security Committee Abdullah Al-Aifan, and Member of the Legislative, Legal and Human Rights Affairs Committee Dr. Tariq Al-Shammari.

The session will also involve a review of the report of the Palestine Committee, as well as the reports of the four standing committees: the Foreign Affairs, Political and National Security Committee; the Social, Educational, Cultural, Women's, and Youth Affairs Committee; the Legislative, Legal and Human Rights Affairs Committee; and the Economic and Financial Affairs Committee. These reports will be reviewed in preparation for the approval of their recommendations, draft laws, and parliamentary proposals.
