The President Of The Republic Receives The Credentials Of A Number Of Ambassadors

The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today, Monday, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein, the credentials of ten non-resident ambassadors to Iraq. They are for the Republic of Uruguay, Nelson Jamil Shaaban, the Kingdom of Belgium Serge Diction, and the Kingdom of Thailand, Sopark Prongtol, the Republic of Ireland Marian Bolger, the Republic of Cuba Alberto Gonzalez Caslas, the United Mexican States Luis Alfonso de Alba, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Long Quoc Huy, the Dominican Republic George Bahsa Hazim, the Republic of Latvia Joris Boykans, the Republic of Lithuania Ramunas Davidonis.

The President of the Republic affirmed Iraq's endeavor to "develop its relations and enhance bilateral cooperation with their countries in a way that serves common interests," noting the "necessity of coordinating efforts to confront economic challenges and environmental and climatic changes, in addition to combating terrorism and extremism."

The President of the Republic expressed his wishes for the ambassadors to succeed in performing their new duties, in a way that consolidates friendship and cooperation relations, stressing the Presidency's support for the work of diplomatic missions and facilitating their tasks, which will reflect positively on the development and strengthening of relations.

In turn, the ambassadors expressed their thanks and appreciation for the President's keenness to facilitate the performance of their duties, expressing the aspiration of their countries to strengthen relations with Iraq at various levels and fields.
