Madinah: The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, has issued a directive to keep the Qiblatain Mosque in Madinah open 24 hours a day. This decision aims to provide worshippers with continuous access to the mosque for prayers at all times.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Governor of Madinah Region, Prince Salman bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, expressed gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He acknowledged their dedication to maintaining mosques and enhancing services for pilgrims throughout the Kingdom.

The governor assured that all measures will be undertaken to provide optimal care and services for the Qiblatain Mosque, recognizing its religious and historical relevance. He mentioned that relevant authorities have already started implementing operational measures to ensure the mosque’s readiness for continuous operation.

Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al Alsheikh, stated that this royal directive underscores the leadership’s interest in mosque care and visitor comfort. He highlighted the importance of historical mosques to Muslims and confirmed that the mosque is fully prepared for round-the-clock operations, with necessary services in place for worshippers’ comfort. The minister also reiterated the ministry’s commitment to developing mosques, reflecting the Kingdom’s prominent role in serving Islam and Muslims.
