The British Ambassador discusses with the President of the University of Kufa the promotion of scientific cooperation between the academic institutions of the two countries

The President of the University of Kufa, Dr. Yasser Hassoun, received the delegation of the British Embassy, headed by the British Ambassador to Iraq, Mark Bryson.

The University's media mentioned that "the two sides discussed strengthening of scientific cooperation in various programs related to primary and postgraduate studies, supporting the English language departments in the university's faculties, and preparing for the opening of the (British Corner), which is specialized in English language programs.

The two sides agreed to open an IELTS test center for English language tests for the Middle Euphrates region and to sign a partnership between the University of Kufa and the British Council.

Accompanied by the university President, the British Ambassador was briefed on the scientific laboratories and teaching methods used in the College of Medicine, which has a twinning program with the British University of Leicester.
