The arrest of an accused of stealing a doctor’s seal to dispense anesthesia and sedative injections with the aim of selling them

The Intelligence Agency announced today, Monday the arrest of a suspect in Al-Kindi Hospital who stole a doctor's seal to dispense anesthesia and sedative injections with the aim of selling them.

The Intelligence Agency said in a statement: "Based on accurate intelligence information, the Intelligence Agency's detachments arrested a person who was attending Al-Kindi Hospital as a patient and, through his review, was able to steal the seal of one of the doctors authorized to dispense anesthesia injections for surgical operations (Tramal) and other medications for sedatives and analgesics that is not dispensed except with a doctor’s prescription, as the accused used to sign the prescriptions in his own handwriting and use the doctor’s seal, and then receive them himself.”

It added, "The arrest of the accused came after the doctor was told that his stamp had been lost from him, and in a tight ambush, the accused was arrested and he openly confessed to having committed this crime," noting that "some prescriptions and injections were seized from the possession of the accused."

It called on citizens to cooperate with the intelligence agency by calling the toll-free hotline 144 and providing information about outlaws.
