TGA: Over 16.5 Million Parcels Delivered by 20th of Ramadan

Riyadh: The Transport General Authority (TGA) announced that licensed companies delivered more than 16.5 million parcels during the first 20 days of Ramadan, setting a new record that highlights the rapid growth of the logistics sector.

According to Saudi Press Agency, on the 19th day, deliveries reached a peak of 1,036,660 parcels, over double the annual daily average. This reflects a 110% growth, showcasing the sector’s capacity during peak season.

The TGA attributed the success to stricter standards, which include on-time delivery to agreed-upon locations, data confidentiality, and faster resolution of customer complaints.

Meanwhile, inspections continue to ensure service quality during high-demand periods. The surge reflects changing consumer habits toward e-commerce and the kingdom’s expanding digital retail market, which has improved delivery efficiency nationwide.
