Riyadh: The Transport General Authority (TGA) announced that more than 48 million postal parcels were delivered across the Kingdom during the fourth quarter of 2024, highlighting the increasing demand for postal parcel services in Saudi Arabia.
According to Saudi Press Agency, TGA’s quarterly statistical bulletin on transportation activities and services revealed the performance index for postal parcel delivery companies. This index measures the number of complaints escalated per 100,000 parcels and records the performance of the 10 largest companies in the sector.
J and T Express and NAQEL Express achieved the lowest complaint rates, with only one complaint per 100,000 parcels. iMile Delivery followed in third place with two complaints, while DHL recorded three complaints. GFS Express ranked fifth with four complaints per 100,000 parcels. The remaining companies had complaint rates ranging from five to ten per 100,000 parcels, with Aramex recording nine complaints.
TGA clarified that the complaints reflected in the index are those escalated to the authority after remaining unresolved by the delivery companies within the designated timeframe. Customers must first file complaints directly with the service provider, which is required to address them within seven days. If the issue is not resolved or the company fails to respond, customers may escalate their complaints to TGA via the unified number 19929. The authority then follows up with the concerned company to ensure resolution and enforces necessary measures to uphold regulations and enhance service quality.
