Riyadh: The Transport General Authority (TGA) announced on Sunday, in a quarterly statistical bulletin, that the number of trips recorded via ride-hailing applications in the Kingdom exceeded 43 million during the fourth quarter of 2025, marking an increase of 54.26% compared to the same quarter last year.
According to Saudi Press Agency, these indicators reflect the increased reliance of individuals on ride-hailing applications as an established mode of urban transportation, amid their expanding use across various regions of the Kingdom and the advanced, high-efficiency services they provide.
At the regional level, the TGA stated that Riyadh Region recorded the highest share of completed trips at 44.56% of the total, followed by Makkah Region at 21.89%, Eastern Region at 14.20%, Madinah Region at 5.94%, and Aseer Region at 3.20%.
Qassim Region accounted for 2.95% of total trips, followed by Tabuk Region at 2.39%, Hail Region at 1.83%, Jazan Region at 1.24%, Najran Region at 0.67%, Al-Jouf Region at 0.57%, Northern Borders Region at 0.32%, and Al-Baha Region at 0.23%.
