Umm taliha: The blooming of Teucrium oliverianum north of Umm Taliha in Al-Shimasiyah Governorate has created a striking natural scene, showcasing the rich plant diversity of Qassim Region's desert environments. This wild plant, which thrives in desert and semi-rocky areas, harmonizes with the surrounding terrain to provide a captivating landscape for hikers and nature enthusiasts during the spring season.
According to Saudi Press Agency, during a field visit, geographical and historical researcher Dr. Turki Al-Qahidan highlighted the region's environmental splendor and the abundance of small shrubs. He noted that while the Teucrium oliverianum typically features purple flowers, white variants are rare, and occasionally both colors emerge from the same plant, signaling a healthy and diverse local ecosystem.
