Taif: Taif Governorate continues to strengthen its position as one of the Kingdom's leading summer tourist destinations, thanks to its mild climate, diverse natural terrain, and abundance of parks and gardens, which attract thousands of visitors each year seeking pleasant weather and green landscapes.

According to Saudi Press Agency, during a field tour, large numbers of visitors were observed flocking to parks, gardens, and mountain attractions, particularly in Al-Shafa and Al-Hada. Families and vacationers enjoyed the governorate's moderate weather and scenic landscapes throughout the summer season.

Tour guide Ahmed Al-Juaid noted that Taif lies at an elevation ranging between 1,700 and 1,900 meters above sea level, giving it moderate summer temperatures that typically range between 28°C and 35°C. This makes Taif a preferred destination for escaping the summer heat prevalent in many parts of the Kingdom.

Al-Juaid added that the governorate boasts diverse natural features, including mountain highlands, valleys, forests, and agricultural terraces, alongside green spaces covering more than four million square meters. These features enhance quality of life and offer visitors a tourism experience that combines nature with fresh air. He highlighted that Taif is home to 135 parks and recreational areas, as well as several open natural sites hosting a variety of events and activities during the summer season. This contributes to the growth of tourism and recreational activity.

Moreover, he pointed out that the governorate benefits from its proximity to Makkah and Jeddah, making it easily accessible. Its advanced tourism infrastructure, diverse services, markets, and entertainment facilities have further strengthened its position as a leading domestic tourism destination.

Several visitors interviewed by SPA expressed that Taif's mild weather, picturesque natural scenery, and wide range of parks and open-air attractions are among the main reasons for choosing the governorate for their summer holidays. They added that Taif combines natural beauty, rich tourism assets, and diverse recreational options, maintaining its status as one of the Kingdom's premier summer destinations.
