Taif Municipality Boosts Operational Readiness for Hajj Season

Taif: The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing announced that Taif Municipality has completed urban development projects at several key pilgrimage sites and major roads serving pilgrims as part of efforts to enhance operational readiness for the 1447 AH Hajj season.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the projects covered four major locations, including Wadi Muharram and Qarn Al-Manazil Miqats, as well as vital roads such as Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Street and Shihar Main Road.

The works included upgrading more than 4.3 kilometers of roads, constructing over 16,000 square meters of sidewalks and plazas, and preparing 3.8 kilometers of accessible pedestrian paths for elderly people and persons with disabilities.

The municipality also added green spaces, planted more than 3,500 trees and shrubs, installed lighting and parking facilities, and upgraded public amenities to improve safety, comfort, urban quality, and services provided to pilgrims and visitors.
