Riyadh: Minister of Information of the Syrian Arab Republic Khaled Zaarour visited today several media institutions operating in Saudi Arabia, including the Saudi Research and Media Group, MBC Group, and Al Arabiya Network, as part of his current official visit to the Kingdom.
According to Saudi Press Agency, during the visits, the minister and his accompanying delegation were briefed on the institutions' experience in producing media and news content and their newsroom and studio operations, as well as developments in digital media and the use of modern technologies in production, broadcasting, and audience engagement.
The two sides also discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between media institutions in Saudi Arabia and the Syrian Ministry of Information, particularly in news exchange, content and expertise sharing, joint television and drama production, digital content development, and media training, with a view to expanding these partnerships.
The Syrian minister was also briefed on the institutions' operating models, media projects, and the news, entertainment, and drama content they provide across various channels and platforms.
The activities are part of the Syrian minister's program in the Kingdom, aimed at learning about leading media practices and exploring opportunities for cooperation and partnership between the two countries' media sectors.
