Supported by KSrelief, Prosthetics Center in Taiz, Yemen Provides Medical Services to 261 Beneficiaries in July

The Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Center in Taiz Governorate provided various medical services in July to 261 beneficiaries from the Yemeni people who lost limbs, with the support of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief).

During the month, 912 services were provided. The percentage of male beneficiaries reached 68%, and the percentage of females 32%. The percentage of displaced persons constituted 13% and residents 87% of the total beneficiaries.

Artificial limbs and prosthetics were measured, manufactured, fitted, delivered, and maintained for 82 patients. Rehabilitation and physiotherapy services, including specialized consultations, benefited 179 patients.

These services come as an extension of the humanitarian and relief projects of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, to raise the capabilities of the health sector and try to alleviate the suffering of the brotherly people in Yemen.
