Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Arabic Language Program Enhances Skills of Over 200 Teachers in Central Asia and Caucasus

Baku: The Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Foundation, in partnership with the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), has successfully concluded the Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud International Language Training Program, focusing on Arabic language education across Central Asia and the Caucasus.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the program's closing ceremony took place at the ICESCO Regional Office in Baku, Azerbaijan. The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Saudi Ambassador to Azerbaijan Essam Al-Jutaili, officials from the foundation and ICESCO, ambassadors of the beneficiary countries, as well as academics and specialists in Arabic language education.

Saleh Al-Khulaifi, Director General of the Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Foundation, stated that the program embodies a civilizational and humanitarian mission. It underscores the significance of Arabic as a language of knowledge, communication, and culture, serving as a bridge that enhances relations among peoples and facilitates international understanding.

Al-Khulaifi highlighted Saudi Arabia's commitment to the Arabic language, emphasizing its cultural and historical value. This dedication is evident in the nation's support for initiatives designed to promote Arabic on a global scale.

Dr. Abdulhakeem Al-Senan, Director of the ICESCO Regional Office in Baku, lauded the program for its academic and cultural contributions to the beneficiary countries. He also acknowledged the collaborative efforts between the foundation and ICESCO in launching initiatives that bolster the Arabic language and expand its global footprint.

The program was implemented in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkestan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, and Bashkortostan, featuring a range of training sessions and specialized workshops aimed at Arabic language teachers, academics, and those interested in Arabic-language education.

The activities were designed to enhance language and teaching skills, develop educational content, apply modern teaching methods, implement interactive learning strategies, and incorporate digital technologies into language instruction.

Over 200 teachers and specialists in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers participated in the program, representing universities, educational institutions, and academic centers from the participating countries.

The initiative was structured around a comprehensive framework of training and skill-development tracks, focused on boosting the competencies of Arabic language educators.
