Riyadh: Minister of Sport and Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee president Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal today hosted a reception for Al-Ahli’s board, the team’s technical and administrative staff, and first-team players.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the event marked Al-Ahli’s victory in the AFC Champions League Elite, secured with a win over Japan’s Kawasaki Frontale. Assistant Minister of Sport Abdulelah Aldilak, Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) president Yasser Almisehal, and several ministry officials attended the event.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki acknowledged the team’s technical prowess, which underscores the Kingdom’s flourishing football league. He praised the players’ morale, which was key in achieving this milestone. He further emphasized that this victory is a testament to Saudi leadership’s support for the sports sector across all disciplines.
The minister concluded by highlighting the need to continue and enhance the hard work, aiming to elevate the Kingdom’s standing on both continental and global stages.
