Specialists Analyze Urban Planning Trends at 61st World Planning Congress

Riyadh: On the second day of the 61st World Planning Congress of the International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP), organized by the Riyadh Region Municipality, specialists discussed the role of non-governmental organizations and institutions in Saudi urban planning.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Consultant at the Center for Local Governance at Prince Sultan University Dr. Ameer Al-Alwan emphasized that urban projects are more successful when they reflect community culture, fostering a sense of belonging and participation.

Director of the Policy Design Program at the King Khalid Foundation Shatha Al-Anbar affirmed that urban development projects present a valuable opportunity to achieve environmental and social sustainability.
