Speaker of Shura Council Begins Official Visit to Malaysia

Kuala lumpur: Speaker of the Shura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh has begun an official visit to Malaysia, heading a delegation from the Shura Council at the invitation of the Speaker of the Malaysian House of Representatives Johari bin Abdul as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen parliamentary relations between the two countries.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Dr. Al Al-Sheikh stated that the visit comes within the framework of developing parliamentary relations and consolidating effective communication channels between the Shura Council and the Malaysian House of Representatives, reflecting the mutual keenness of both sides to enhance cooperation across various fields.

He emphasized that the deep-rooted historical relations between Saudi Arabia and Malaysia constitute a solid foundation for advancing parliamentary cooperation to more effective and constructive levels. He expressed hope that the visit would contribute to expanding coordination and consultation and support the directives of th
e leaderships of both countries to strengthen development pathways and achieve the shared interests of the two brotherly nations and peoples.

During the visit, the Speaker of the Shura Council is scheduled to hold an official meeting with the Speaker of the Malaysian House of Representatives, during which they will review bilateral relations and discuss ways to enhance parliamentary cooperation and coordination in regional and international forums.

The accompanying delegation includes several Shura Council members and officials.
