Riyadh: The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) News Training Academy organized a consultative meeting today bringing together deans and heads of media colleges and departments from public universities across the Kingdom. The meeting aimed to strengthen collaboration and explore ways to support media transformation through the development of human capital.
According to Saudi Press Agency, academy chief executive Tariq Al-Sheikh presented an overview of the academy’s key programs and initiatives, highlighting areas of joint and complementary efforts with various universities.
Discussions focused on a range of topics, including proposals to launch summer bootcamps and media development programs designed to enhance the skills of male and female media students, both during their academic years and after graduation.
The meeting saw participation from numerous universities across the Kingdom, including Qassim University, Jazan University, King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Electronic University, Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, Taif University, King Khalid University, the Islamic University, Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, Taibah University, King Faisal University, University of Jeddah, and Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University.
The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to align academic outcomes with the evolving demands of the media labor market, building on the exceptional work already underway at Saudi universities.
