Riyadh: An adult female Siberian Stonechat (Saxicola maurus) was spotted along seasonal migration routes in Northern Borders Region, highlighting the area's biodiversity and its importance as a stopover for migratory birds.

According to Saudi Press Agency, this small bird, part of the flycatcher family, is widespread across Asia and favors open habitats such as grasslands and semi-desert areas. It is known for active behavior, feeding mainly on insects, and adapting to changing environments during migration.

Northern Borders Region is a key destination for migration routes due to its diverse terrain and natural habitats, including open plains and seasonal meadows. These features support various migratory and resident bird species and attract birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts.
