Speaker of the Shura Council, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh has held official discussions with Speaker of the Algerian National Assembly Salah Goudjil.
The meeting took place during the Saudi Shura Council Speaker's official visit to the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, leading a delegation from the Shura Council in response to an official invitation from the Speaker of the Algerian National Assembly.
During the session, Dr. Al Al-Sheikh expressed his delight in visiting the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, extending thanks to Goudjil for his generous invitation and warm hospitality.
The Shura Council Speaker said he also looks to enhance the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries in various fields, especially the parliamentary relations between the Shura Council and the Algerian National Assembly.
Sheikh Dr. Al Al-Sheikh also stressed the importance of boosting the level of coordination between the two councils in all international and regional parliamentary forums.
The Shura Council Speaker praised the stances adopted by the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria in all fields and hailed Algeria's firm pride in its Arabism and Islamic culture.
Moreover, Sheikh Dr. Al Al-Sheikh highlighted the tremendous momentum, productive economic transformation, and continuous renaissance in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all fields.
For his part, the Speaker of the Algerian National Assembly welcomed the Shura Council Speaker and the visiting delegation, stressing the deep and historical Algerian-Saudi relations.
Goudjil lauded the support the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia provided to the Algerian government and people in various circumstances over the years.
He also aspired to enhance the bilateral ties between the two brotherly councils in all fields, especially at the parliamentary level.
Goudjil praised the pivotal and unwavering stances of the Kingdom toward the different international and regional issues and hailed the Saudi wise decisions and international efforts to consolidate global security and peace.
During the session, a number of issues of mutual concern were discussed, including those related to parliamentary cooperation between the Shura Council and the Algerian National Assembly, which would enhance the bilateral relations between the two brotherly states.
