Shura Council Delegation Evaluates Infrastructure at King Abdulaziz Airport and Haramain Railway

Jeddah: A delegation of members from the Shura Council's Transport, Communications, and Information Technology Committee visited King Abdulaziz International Airport and its Hajj terminal. This visit was part of a broader initiative to assess various sectors within the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services system.

According to Saudi Press Agency, during the field tour, the delegation evaluated the services and facilities available at the Hajj terminal. The focus was on how these facilities aid in travel procedures and the arrival of pilgrims, ensuring operational quality and smooth movement during the Hajj and Umrah seasons. The tour aimed at understanding the infrastructure setup to support these processes.

The delegation extended their review to the Haramain High-Speed Railway stations located in Jeddah and Makkah. Here, officials briefed them on the station facilities, trip operation mechanisms, and the efforts being made to facilitate travel between Makkah and Madinah. This was an opportunity for the delegation to understand the logistical and operational strategies in place.

Members of the council made several observations and offered recommendations throughout the visits. These suggestions were geared towards improving service levels, enhancing operational efficiency, and enriching the experience for beneficiaries, aligning with the objectives of the current phase.
