Sheikh Isa bin Ali Award for Voluntary Work Honors Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing

The 13th edition of the "Sheikh Isa bin Ali Award for Voluntary Work" today honored the Minister of Municipal, Rural, and Housing Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail for his efforts in community service and volunteer and humanitarian work. The presentation was attended by Bahraini Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and several ministers in Bahrain.

Organized by the Good Word Society in cooperation with the Arab Voluntary Union, the award aims to honor pioneers of volunteer work in the Arab world, bring their expertise and projects to volunteers from various Arab countries, promote a culture of volunteerism, highlight their role in the comprehensive development of Gulf and Arab societies, promote the principle of active partnership with voluntary organizations, bodies, institutions, and associations, and support social responsibility efforts in the private sector.

At the opening of the first Municipal Volunteers Forum, held in Makkah last December, Al-Hogail said the ministry managed to engage with more than 260,000 volunteers and aims to reach 1 million by 2030.
