Session on Data Gathering, Analysis Organized during 3rd Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum

Riyadh– A panel session titled,” Data Gathering and Analysis to Support Humanitarian Work”, was organized on Tuesday as part of the 3rd Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum, with the participation of the Global Coordinator at International Organization of Migration Muhammad Rizki, UNHCR Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa Ambassador Mohamed Abdi Affey, World Health Organization Representative in Yemen Adham Rashad Abdel-Moneim, Director of Office of Emergencies and Resilience at FAO Rein Paulsen, and Special Envoy for Foresight and Techplomacy at the International Committee of the Red Cross Balthasar Staehelin.

Participants in the session discussed the importance of data gathering and analysis in supporting humanitarian and relief efforts and the use of artificial intelligence and satellite technologies in search-rescue operations during natural disasters.
