Riyadh: The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) is set to host the fourth edition of the Global AI Summit in Riyadh from September 15 to 17, 2026, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of SDAIA Board of Directors. The summit will gather an international delegation, including government leaders, decision-makers, CEOs of major technology companies, experts, innovators, and researchers from the fields of data and artificial intelligence worldwide.
According to Saudi Press Agency, SDAIA President Dr. Abdullah Alghamdi expressed gratitude for HRH the Crown Prince’s patronage, noting it underscores the continuous support for SDAIA’s efforts, which have propelled the Kingdom to a leading position in global AI rankings. Alghamdi stated that the summit is timely, given the rapid qualitative leap in AI technologies that are reshaping modern life and influencing the future. The event aims to support the Kingdom’s transition to a knowledge-based economy and contribute to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
Building on the success of previous editions in 2020, 2022, and 2024, the 2026 summit is expected to feature impactful presentations, agreements, and major initiatives. A notable past outcome is the launch of the International Center for AI Research and Ethics (ICAIRE), a UNESCO-affiliated center headquartered in Riyadh. Alghamdi stressed that the summit reinforces the Kingdom’s vision to build a sustainable, knowledge-based economy and solidify its role as a global hub for artificial intelligence. The event is cited as a practical embodiment of Vision 2030’s focus on innovation and digital transformation.
