New York: The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) participated in the 22nd session of the United Nations High-Level Committee on South-South Cooperation, with a session titled “Leveraging Science, Technology, and Innovation.”

According to Saudi Press Agency, SDAIA highlighted the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s efforts in employing data and artificial intelligence (AI) to support the United Nations’ 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The Kingdom’s participating delegation was headed by the Ministry of Economy and Planning (MEP) and included the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), and the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD).

SDAIA emphasized its expertise in developing digital solutions based on AI and big data, contributing to enhanced decision-making efficiency and supporting international efforts aimed at achieving comprehensive and sustainable development, particularly in developing countries. This is achieved by building integrated technological systems based on innovation and knowledge.

SDAIA’s participation is part of Saudi Arabia’s pioneering role in collaborating with international organizations and countries worldwide to exchange successful experiences in data and AI. This aligns with the objectives of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and enhances the country’s presence in international forums as an active partner in shaping the future of AI.
